Membership Fees

Important Notes:

  1. Apart from the one-time non-refundable admin fee of $50.00, please refrain from making any advance payment prior to receiving an invoice.
  2. All membership fees (annual dues, Registered Counsellor and Registered Clinical Supervisor fees) etc. must be paid in full and accurately as per issued invoice.
  3. Incorrect and/or partial payment(s) may lead to delays in processing and do not guarantee continued eligibility or access to membership benefits.
  4. Membership may be suspended or terminated if full payment is not received. No refunds will be provided for partial payment(s).
  5. Per Clause 7.1 of the SAC Constitution, the membership fee has been adjusted from $90 to $100.

Registered Counsellor (RC) SGD 200.00 Valid for two (2) years from the date of SAC EXCO approval

Renewal requirements:

  1. 400 clinical hours
  2. 50 CPD hours
Registered Clinical Supervisor (RCS) SGD 100.00 Valid for two (2) years from the date of SAC EXCO approval An active RC is required in order for RCS to be valid.

Medical Malpractice “MedMal” Professional Indemnity (PI) insurance*

*subject to prevailing rate from insurer

 SGD 100 + 9% GST = $109

Valid for one (1) year from 1 July – 30 June

Prorate is only applicable for members who join midway i.e. 1 Jan – 30 Jun

Applicable to the following:

  1. Fellow Member
  2. Master Clinical Member
  3. Clinical Member
  4. Provisional Clinical Member

In accordance with Clause 5.5 of the SAC Constitution:

“All registrants must show evidence of professional indemnity coverage when they apply for new registration or renew their registration with the SAC Register of Counsellors.”

Please note that if you choose not to be covered under SAC’s group cover, a PI Exemption Form must be submitted for each PI cycle (1 July – 30 June) together with the following supporting documentation.

  1. A copy of your insurance certificate and/or a redacted policy document
  2. Employer endorsement

Your name will be removed from the directory listing of Registered Counsellors (RC) if the above exemption form is not complete and supporting documents not intact.
